As an introduction, Bonavita’s coffee brewers are often referred by coffee experts, even the Specialty Coffee Association of America, because these products simply do everything right. Right water heating temperature, right and even water sprays on the coffee grinds, also right duration of contact between the water and the coffee. Most often than not, many coffee brewers make a mistake or two in one of those things, decreasing the quality of the output shots. But not with Bonita BV1800. Bonita BV1800 is an excellent coffee brewer that is quite budget-friendly if we compare it to some other titans. The thing is, its brother, Bonita BV1900TS, can be described that way, too. Therefore, this article is aimed to cover the differences between Bonita BV1800 and Bonita BV1900TS so that you can decide which one will give the greater value. Take a look : Bonavita BV1800SS Vs BV1800TH.
Even though both models are defined by the manufacturer as 8-cup coffee brewers, they are designed differently. BV1900 has more silver color, sleeker, and firmer look. BV1800 is a little more curvy and has this bluish tint. Honestly, I personally prefer the exterior of BV1800 as it is more classy and elegant, but the not precisely pellucid water tank can be an issue for some people. The next primary difference is the carafe. BV1800 has a glass lined stainless steel thermal carafe, which some users complained as fragile. BV1900 replaced the carafe with something more rugged, a whole stainless steel one. However, I believe that the problem is more caused by rough usage, and BV1800’s carafe is fine if you have good self-control.
BV1900 consumes more power than BV1800, so you may need to consider this if you are energy-conscious. BV1900 has a flat-bottom brew basket, possibly providing a more even coffee extraction than BV1800’s V-shaped brew basket. Nonetheless, the quality of the shots on both machines are roughly the same.

With BV1900, you get more durability on a firm-looking silver machine and slightly better coffee extraction. Meanwhile, with BV1800, you get a classy look and slightly less energy consumption. This is an equal match, in my opinion, so choose according to your personal needs.
