We have been comparing the new VertuoLine machine with the older Nespresso machines. It is about time that we would finally compare the Centrifusion-utilizing machine with Nespresso Inissia, one of the most famous first-generations. To begin with, it is important to know that the VertuoLine and the Inissia stand at somewhat different prices, and they are packed with about different styles of features, so basically you can say that these machines are designed for different cases. Have a look : Nespresso VertuoLine Vs CitiZ.
Nespresso Inissia is the classical single-serve espresso maker using high temperature and pressure to extract the coffee. Inissia is all about the basic espresso maker. It has two programmable buttons; the first one is for espresso while the other is for lungo. Its water tank is removable, and the capacity is 24 ounces. The pre-heating time takes 25 seconds.
Meanwhile, the Nespresso VertuoLine is using the modern Centrifusion technology to deliver coffee extracts. By spinning the coffee capsule very quickly, the machine uses centrifugal force as the source of pressure, while adding the water. VertuoLine is not only able to produce espresso shots, but also cappuccino and lattes. So, you can say the VertuoLine as an all-in-one coffee maker and espresso maker. The machine is equipped with a 40 ounces large removable water reservoir and takes 20 seconds for pre-heating.

By looking at their characteristics, Nespresso Inissia is more fit for personal usage. It is suitable for users who prefer only quality espresso shots. If you are this type of customers, then Nespresso Inissia would be an excellent choice for you since it is much cheaper. However, for family or small office usage, the VertuoLine would likely serve better. Its larger water tank would be the big plus. Also, it is more versatile as it can make not only espresso but also coffee.
