VertuoLine is the newest generation of Nespresso machines, and it has been pretty popular among coffee lovers and espresso enthusiasts alike. It is not super wallet-washing, basically, but the capabilities are so wide. On this article, we are going to compare the young lad with Nespresso DeLonghi Lattissima, the top tier premium product. Even though they stand on very, very different price platforms, they both have similar uniqueness. Hence, it can be intriguing to match them against each other and see which one holds a better value for our money.
What exactly does make the two similar? Well, they both are able to make coffee and espresso. So they are not like the other classical Nespresso machines who can only brew espresso i.e. Pixie, U, Inissia. Even so, VertuoLine and Lattissima have different working mechanism. Nespresso Lattissima, like most espresso machines, uses a 19-bar pressure pump to make espresso. It combines high pressure and high temperature. Meanwhile, Nespresso VertuoLine features the Centrifusion technology that applies centrifugal pressure to the coffee or espresso capsule while adding water. The device spins the capsule in ultra high speed. However, there is some concern that the pressure achieved from such mean still does not reach the performance level of a pressure pump. You may taste the espresso from VertuoLine to be less rich than of Lattissima.
Nespresso Lattissima uses the same type of capsules as other common Nespresso Original Line machines. Nespresso VertuoLine is a whole new machine, so it uses DIFFERENT capsules. The Lattissima has built-in milk frother. The VertuoLine is bundled together with the Aeroccino Plus as its frother. The VertuoLine features a faster heating time than the Lattissima, so it saves more time.
